Through my role in project management for EuroStrings in Zagreb, the European collaboration of guitar festivals in which the Twents Guitar Festival is a partner, I have been asked to take on the sponsorship acquisition for the annual worldwide tour of the European winner. These incredibly talented guitarists perform in countries such as China and the United States, and the tour requires financial backing.

Together with an enthusiastic group of music lovers in Boekelo, we quickly built an incredibly popular festival, Soundgardens, where I was the founder, organizer, and programmer. At 12 locations throughout the village, private music lovers open their gardens for live performances by acoustic acts and singer-songwriters, where everyone is welcome to drop by, watch, and listen for free. Based on the program booklet, the audience plans their own route and mainly travels by bike from one performance to the next. Each artist performs three 30-minute sets in the same garden, while the audience cycles through the village, discovering new musical gems along the way.
Since the first edition of D'ran, I have been responsible for programming the musical lineup. Live acts that enhance the festival's atmosphere and add a rich musical dimension. The third edition of Festival D'RAN, held on May 14, 2020, from 10 AM to 5 PM, was an online edition. For this, we recorded or broadcasted clips from four acts: Jeangu Macrooy, The Sugar Bastards, Henk Lammers, and De Haasjes. I also programmed the music for D'RAN 2017, the mini-edition in 2018, and the 2019 edition.
Together with Frank Hautvast, I founded this Business Club for entrepreneurial music lovers. Exciting rock 'n' roll outings, independent of location, each activity featuring a different highlight, and collaborations with other musical business clubs. The kickoff in the first year took place at the city brewery Stanislaus Brewskovitsch. We’ve hosted events at Say Yeah Studio, the Craft Beer Fest at Metropool Enschede, Triggerfinger at Muziekcentrum Enschede, performed at the Midsummer Festival at Performance Factory, and attended Supertramp, Woodstock The Story XXL, Tuckerville VIP, and the 25th anniversary of Café Rocks at Metropool Enschede. In the second year, we kicked off with Vandenberg’s Moonkings, including a buffet and a billiards night in February. Events featuring DeWolff, Joe Satriani, Lenny Kravitz, Dauwpop VIP, and Tuckerville are currently on hold due to the pandemic. And, of course, there's always great food.
